Dynamic Contrast 2,000,000:1 with IPS LED LCD Technology
Both high contrast and energy-saving efficiency have been achieved in the IPS LED LCD TV by combining the IPS panel, which is known for its wide viewing angle, with a bright, energy-efficient LED backlight. Even dark scenes like night skies are naturally rendered with delicate shades of black. The Intelligent Scene Controller further boosts the image quality.

Intelligent Frame Creation Pro
Even fast-moving scenes are displayed sharply and clearly. With a 50Hz video signal input, Intelligent Frame Creation Pro makes 100 frames/second from 50 frames/second. This increases the frame count to allow natural frame-to-frame transitions, for smooth motion images with high resolution. VIERA also uses motion focus technology to greatly enhance resolution.

Wide Viewing Angle
The wide 178°* viewing angle ensures clear images even when viewed from an angle. The backlights wide transmission aperture enhances the contrast between light and dark, and improves motion-image response.

24p Smooth Film

The speaker construction in the LCD D* Series has been improved, resulting in the production of natural acoustics and rich bass sounds despite the slim design of these models.

VIERA Image Viewer (Photos and Videos)
Its easy to view full-HD images with the SD card slot. Watch and show your photos and motion images right after you take them. Simply insert an SD Card into VIERA to display photos and full-HD videos on the large screen. An easy-to-see, easy-to-use thumbnail display has also been added. Special new slideshow frames, and an increased number of display effects are also included. Plus, Reversal Film mode makes photo colours so rich and vibrant, even professional photographers will appreciate them. Messages and memos can be added to photos from a PC to create detailed travelogues and original slideshows with messages for special people. This further expands the possibilities for VIERA enjoyment.

VIERA CASTs assorted online content just keeps getting better-now offering ace trax™ video on demand service, online video service Dailymotion, "tweet" web communications via Twitter® and even home video and audio conferencing from Skype™.
